02/10/2005 – Has been referred to Elementary & Secondary Education Committee
5/4/2005 - Public Hearing held, Elementary & Secondary Education Committee. Dr. Becky Litherland represented the STOM Board at the hearing. She distributed copies of our Legislative Alert and outlined reasons for our position. As she was last to speak she was able to address many points raised by other witnesses. Although no further action is scheduled at this time, she also reports support among committee leaders for this type of legislation.
Outstanding Science Teacher Awards Form
(Outstanding Science Teacher)
This award honors members who display excellence in classroom teaching. The award is presented annually to an elementary teacher, a middle school teacher, and a high school teacher. Teachers considered for this award are nominated by the membership. Nomination materials are available below.
